Laboratory

* All Lab Requests are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY! NO WALKINS

Monday thru Friday 9am – 10:30am & 3pm – 4pm

We are a CLIA certified laboratory, which services our patients for most blood tests. Our CBC machine produces instant results, allowing us to assess patients for their specific needs. We advise patients to increase their fluid intake to aide in blood draws. Please understand that due to the specialty of our department, it may be necessary to repeat blood work during your consultation visit.

Infusion Center

We currently have a 10 chair infusion suite which is utilized for chemotherapy infusions, iron infusions, IV bone medications (i.e. Reclast , Zometa, Aredia, Xgeva, and also Gamma Globulin) and hydration. Amongst a large selection of books and magazines, we also have a Flat Screen TV for your entertainment. We encourage patients to bring their own electronic devices (i.e. laptops, portable dvd players, mp3 players, etc…).

Our Physicians are dedicated not only to treating cancer, but also in preventing cancer. Patients are referred to us for high risk management (i.e. strong family history of breast cancer), and educated in possible preventative methods and treatments. We also offer BRCA testing within our department. BRCA testing allows our physicians to determine whether there is an increased risk for hereditary breast and/or ovarian cancer.

Community Forums

Four times a year, our physicians, along with a panel of experts host An open discussion. During this time we address cancer related questions presented by the community. All are welcome to attend

Look Good Feel Better (LGFB)

LGFB is a non-medical, brand-neutral, public service program that teaches beauty techniques to cancer patients to help them manage the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. On the second Monday evening (6-8pm) every other month, the oncology nurses host this program, along with a cosmetologist in our conference room, located at the Huntington Medical Group. Light refreshments are served and all chemo patients are welcome, however registration is required.

*Call 425-2280 for upcoming dates and further information.

Bone Marrow Biopsy

Bone marrow biopsy and bone marrow aspiration are procedures to collect and examine bone marrow — the spongy tissue inside some of your larger bones. Bone marrow biopsy and bone marrow aspiration can show whether your bone marrow is healthy and making normal amounts of blood cells. Doctors use bone marrow biopsy and aspiration to diagnose and monitor blood and marrow diseases, including some cancers.

Bone Marrow Biopsies are performed here in our office. For preparation and post procedure instructions, please contact us @ 631-425-2280.
